Terms and Conditions

JetLux Cleaning – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions form the basis of the agreement between the customer (“you”) and JetLux Cleaning (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accepting a quote or booking a service, you agree to be bound by these terms.


1. Quotes and Pricing

All quotes are provided on a job-by-job basis, typically calculated in square metres.
 

The quote provided will be the price you are charged unless additional work is discovered during the job, in which case we will notify you immediately and provide a revised quote for approval before proceeding. No extra work will be carried out without your consent.
 

Quotes remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
 

2. Services

JetLux Cleaning offers pressure washing and exterior cleaning services including driveways, patios, walls, render, decking, fascias, soffits, and window cleaning.
 

Chemical treatments may be used where required (see section 8).
 

While we strive for thoroughness, we do not guarantee permanent results due to ongoing environmental exposure or the nature of some stains and organic growth.
 

3. Access and Utilities

You agree to provide clear access to the property, including the work area, and any necessary utilities such as water and power, unless otherwise agreed.
 

If access is not available on the agreed date/time, a callout fee may be charged to cover time and fuel.
 

4. Waste and Obstructions

We are not responsible for the removal or reinstallation of furniture, plant pots, bins, or other obstructions in the work area unless agreed in advance. If we are required to move items, an additional charge may apply, and we accept no liability for accidental damage during relocation.
 

Waste generated by the cleaning process (e.g. debris, moss, organic runoff) will be left on site with the customer unless prior arrangements are made for disposal. A waste removal fee will apply if we are to dispose of the material.
 

5. Use of Chemicals and Associated Risks

Some surfaces may require chemical treatment including (but not limited to) sodium hypochlorite, biocide, or degreasers. The purpose, method, and risks of such treatments will be explained beforehand.
 

These chemicals may cause strong odours, surface discolouration, or damage to plants and grass if necessary precautions (e.g. pre-wetting and rinsing) are not followed or are ineffective due to uncontrollable conditions.
 

You acknowledge and accept the risks associated with chemical cleaning and agree that we are not liable for damage to plant life, grass, soil, or nearby property if proper procedures were followed and you were informed of the risks.
 

6. Health and Safety

We take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of our operatives, customers, and the public.
 

You must ensure children, pets, and others are kept clear of the work area for the duration of the job and until any surfaces have dried and been deemed safe.
 

7. Damage Liability

JetLux Cleaning is not liable for pre-existing damage, loose paving, deteriorated render, cracked pointing, damaged seals, or vulnerable surfaces.
 

If damage occurs due to factors beyond our control (e.g. poor installation, weather conditions, age of material), we accept no responsibility.
 

We are not responsible for re-cleaning or repairs if damage or re-soiling occurs after completion due to rain, wind, wildlife, or other environmental factors.
 

8. Customer Responsibilities and Authorisations

You confirm you are the legal owner of the property or have written permission from the owner to authorise cleaning work.
 

You agree to inform us of any vulnerabilities or surface sensitivities prior to the job.
 

You agree to review the completed work on the day of service or within 48 hours. After this period, we are under no obligation to return to the site to make changes or corrections.
 

9. Satisfaction and Guarantees

If you are unsatisfied with the quality of the work, you must inform us within 48 hours. We will review the issue and, if within reason, will return to rectify the problem free of charge.
 

We offer no guarantee on the length of time surfaces will stay clean, as environmental conditions vary.
 

Refunds are only issued at our discretion and must be approved after review of the work. We reserve the right to attempt to rectify the issue before considering a partial or full refund.
 

10. Job Duration and Completion

While we make every effort to complete the job on the agreed date, we reserve the right to return the following day or over multiple days if the job takes longer than expected due to weather, equipment issues, or job complexity.
 

11. Cancellations and Early Termination

If you cancel the job after accepting the quote but before work starts, a 20% cancellation fee applies to cover administrative and scheduling costs.
 

If the job is cancelled after we have arrived and set up equipment, or if work is stopped midway by the customer, 50% of the quoted price will be payable, along with any material and fuel costs incurred.
 

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone any job due to safety concerns, weather conditions, equipment failure, or other unforeseen circumstances.
 

12. Payment Terms

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the job unless agreed otherwise in writing.
 

Failure to make payment within 7 days may result in late fees or legal action to recover the debt, including associated costs.
 

Invoices will be signed on completion of the work as proof of job fulfilment.
 

13. Legal Disclaimer and Liability Limits

JetLux Cleaning is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from use of our services beyond what is required under UK law.
 

We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses such as downtime, resale value, or business interruption.
 

All work is covered under public liability insurance, but this does not cover exclusions listed in this document.
 

14. Photos and Media

We may take before-and-after photos for documentation, insurance, training, or marketing purposes. These will never show identifying details of the property or people. You may opt out of this by notifying us in advance.
 

15. Data Protection

In accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, we collect only the necessary personal information (such as name, phone number, address, and email) to manage our services.
 

We will never sell or share your information with third parties and will use it solely for business-related contact, quoting, invoicing, or marketing with your consent.
 

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the English courts.
